    1. Thank you! This is just the kind of scene that always catches my eye.

We still have snow on the ground from the April Fools' storm, but today while the mountains above us are getting another foot of snow, we are getting rain.

  2. It snowed where I was last week but nothing to stay on the ground... Your photo and verse are both lovely. Happy Spring ;-)

    1. Well, thank you! I started writing regular poetry many years ago. Then I discovered haiku. I love the simplicity of it.

  3. Wow, hard to believe there is that much snow, where you are and in many other areas too. Not a bit here on the Island. Lovely photo and words though. I hope you have a great week.🌞

    1. Lots of melting going on here today! The banks are lowering, and the gutters are singing loudly.
Every inch of bare ground is covered by robins. The flocks usually pass through quickly. This bunch is hanging around.

  5. To speak of imagination: In your photo and in your haiku, I see a tilde 'twig' after the snow.

    1. Yes, I did! It was 89º on Easter Day. A record for Maine. We rarely get that warm in the summer.
