I love this photograph! You are getting snow and here all is thawing.
Thank you! This is just the kind of scene that always catches my eye.We still have snow on the ground from the April Fools' storm, but today while the mountains above us are getting another foot of snow, we are getting rain.
It snowed where I was last week but nothing to stay on the ground... Your photo and verse are both lovely. Happy Spring ;-)
Well, thank you! I started writing regular poetry many years ago. Then I discovered haiku. I love the simplicity of it.
Wow, hard to believe there is that much snow, where you are and in many other areas too. Not a bit here on the Island. Lovely photo and words though. I hope you have a great week.🌞
The West Coast always seems to get the better weather! The best to you and Joe, too.
Sandy, I love this photo for it's beauty and simplicity both... your haiku is perfect! Love them together~Hugs 💕
Lots of melting going on here today! The banks are lowering, and the gutters are singing loudly.Every inch of bare ground is covered by robins. The flocks usually pass through quickly. This bunch is hanging around.
To speak of imagination: In your photo and in your haiku, I see a tilde 'twig' after the snow.__ Lovely Sandy_! Smiles. _m
Lol, you are right! Glad to say that we are seeing some bare ground up here.
I love the sparkling snow and the shadow in the photo. Lovely haiku too
Sometimes when I glance out at at snow scene it is almost magical!
The stillness of this is zenly gorgeous! love your haiku.
That is what I was aiming at. Glad to hear that someone else got it.
So simple and so expressive, I love that combination!
Thanks so much, Petra. This one came easier for me than most poems do.
Happy Easter Sandy. Hope you have a lovely weekend.🌼🌼
Yes, I did! It was 89º on Easter Day. A record for Maine. We rarely get that warm in the summer.
Happy Easter Sandy.Love the glittery snow and your haiku.hugsCarolyn
Glittery snow in April is best seen in photos, don't you think? I hope you had a wonderful holiday.
