winter haiku the sound of snow

the whispery sound

of snowbanks gently shifting

a january sun

ghost tree

this is an old shot of a maple that I have admired 

for the past 40 plus years

I found out yesterday 

that it is gone

thanks to Google maps

it was beautiful in every season

sad to think that it ended up 

as firewood, 

but,

I guess that is is how life is

the crow is

still around

I am glad to say
