This one makes me smile - and I love the photo!
Jays can be quite comical. I love watching them get ready for winter.
That's lovely, Sandy. And the perfect photographic setting. Do you have a lot of jays in your neck of the woods? I haven't seen one in months here...
We have lots of regular blue jays down here in southern Maine. Gray jays live up in the North woods, as well. A whole lot of Maine is still forest, thank goodness.
That's a very long lived jay (or very small trees!). Our jays are very elusive....
I could see the jays stowing acorns under the large white pine in our backyard every fall. The next year, tiny trees would come up. We moved several red oaks back to the edge of the woods. By the time we moved, two of them were getting quite tall.
love your acorn photo!plus your simple poem.
Birds can be so funny at times!
Just perfect Sandy. Hope you had a special summer.
It was a good summer, but a hot one. I am ready for fall. Glad to have you back!
Oh I like this very much.
Thanks! I just found one of your comments in my spam folder. Sorry about that.I hear blue jays off in the distance, but don't often see them in the yard.
